What's a good transformers toy to get?

Since its almost the first day of school im thinking of getting a good toy for my son Jackson and since he likes transformers im thinking of getting him one but i don't know which one so what transformer toy should i get him

Any of the cars will do - just dont get the motorbike one, my son lost interest in about 30 seconds

Not sure how old he is, but if he's under 8 or so, the Transformers Animated toys are very popular and cool.  Bumblebee or Optimus Prime are popular and under $10 at Hasbro, Walmart, or any major retail store.

If he's a little older, the Universe Classics Series are great.  They're based off the 1984 series and a bit more complex - the Sunstreaker (yellow lamborghini car) is great, and is also $9.99 and easy to find.
