  1. If you are experiencing temporary pins and needles, simply taking the pressure off of the affected area will ease symptoms.

If you have chronic pins and needles, the treatment will depend on what has caused it. For example, if it is caused by an underlying condition such as diabetes, treatment will focus on controlling the condition to ease the symptoms. This may be through medication, surgery or another form of symptom control.

If the pins and needles are caused by a vitamin B12 deficiency or a lifestyle habit such as alcohol misuse, treatment will focus on changing unhealthy behaviours. In these cases, eating more foods containing vitamin B12, and cutting down on alcohol consumption.

  2. I cross my arms and tightly grip my forearms to take the pressure off of my feet, and then I shake my feet like crazyyy! Sometimes it helps to click my heels together a few times, it overrides the pins & needles sensation. Always works for me, give it a try [:

  3. The sensation of pins and needles in your feet is not normal and therefore you should see a neurologist regarding your symptoms if they persist.  These symptoms could be nerve damage as a result of a herniated or a bulging disc in your lumbar spine even if you are not experiencing any low back pain.

  4. It's painful at first, but you need to move. Walk around. That feeling is from a lack of blood flow to the body part. Moving helps get the blood pumping and the feeling of pins and needles goes away.
