What's a good way to brighten up your whites?

A shot of bleach in the washer? I long soak in a bucket of oxyclean? A home-made recipe?

~~Bleach will whiten whites, but after a few uses it actually yellows them. I use hydrogen peroxide in the bleach compartment and that whitens them really well. The best secret is to double rinse all your whites too.~~

Bleach is my best friend. Yes, use some bleach in your designated bleach area on your washer and run a hot load. I have the whitest socks, bras and panties around! :]

I started using this instead of bleach because I was getting yellow whites from the bleach. So far so good!
