  1. volunteer at a local senior citizen home, or the public library, or a local hospital...that's what i did

  2. Visit volunteer.unitedway.org and find a volunteer opportunity that's local. Usually, there are several options so you can find one that suits you best. At some churches, there are ministries available that you can voluneer through, like a homeless ministry for example. Lastly, another option is Habitat for Humanity. You can help build homes to reconstruct lives or you can help the organization with office work, like filing and such. Volunteering is always a great experience, so be sure to find something you really enjoy doing. Good luck.

  3. for my school, i need to do 1200 hours a year. what i do is go to the public library and tutor kids because there is a tutor program there. i also do the library's story time. ask your city if they have a community clean up program and do that too. if you're 14, go and help out at the homeless shelter and nursing home.If you're 16, then you can also volunteer at the animal shelter or hospital. I do all of these things, and i've got over 1500 hours before i know it. Good luck and have fun :D

  4. Volunteer at the local animal shelter. You can walk dogs or play with cats, for example.
