  1. You would be shocked at the number of choices you do have.  As mentioned above, there are local rec centers.

    Many YMCAs have volleyball.

Some junior clubs have other opportunities to play.  Some run leagues where you join.  You do not have to tryout.  You can also try out for other clubs in your area.  Go to

to find other clubs in your area.

You can attend camps run by junior clubs or colleges in your area.

And here is an answer I am borrowing from Dan_Ye.  He is the expert on the USYVL.

Try this link and go from there.

  2. Well if you didnt make a club team sorry to say but that probably means you dont love and have a huge passion for it. Maybe you have another sport that would be better for you that you have natural talent for! good luck!

  3. I sincerely hope you don't listen to the first two posters. "Not making club means you're no good". How lame can you be? Rec centers are your best bet; you can also try taking classes at a local junior college; you'll learn basic and advanced techniques and get to play plenty

  4. If you look at your community centers, many offer open gym for volleyball. It is a great time to meet new people and improve on your game. Also if you are interested in volley, maybe get private lessons from a professional, they can really help!

  5. you can start your own team or you cam play for fun, I'm not trying to be mean but if you don't make club well you really don't have a lot of choices.....sorry
