  1. A hypothesis is a possible explanation to a problem or question. You write it as an if/then statement like "If a plant is given more fertilizer then it will grow taller". It may or may not be right, that's why it has to be testable...so you can see if it is supported or not.

The experiment has to have a MANIPULATED variable; one that the tester adjusts. What is that in your example?

  2. A hypothesis is a prediction. The lines at the bottom are saying: If ..........is added to.........then.........blah blah blah will happen. then you put the whole thing together when you say: the prediction is..............

  3. A hypothesis is basicly a guess, they want your opinion on what would happen if you get sand in you inline skates.

  4. Hypothesis- is an educated guess

  5. if sand affects the speed of your skates

Then if you get sand in your skates

The prediction is you won't skate fast

  6. a proposition, or set of propositions, set forth as an explanation for the occurrence of some specified group of phenomena, either asserted merely as a provisional conjecture to guide investigation (working hypothesis) or accepted as highly probable in the light of established facts.

<or basically a scientific guess as long as its reasonable>

    testable__<ur guess>i say yes

hypothesis:if sand in the skates are testable

    then the_____bla bla bla

the prediction is____yes,the sand in your in-line sdates affect the speed of the skates

<DISCLAIMER:I DO NOT NO IF DIS IS RITE>
