My acne is very bad- in the forehead area and the two cheeks. What is a good way to get rid of acne-- without using Proactiv and many other skin products? Is there something you can eat or drink to make it go away? Help! School starts in a week!

  1. There are lots of natural / home remdies for acne that may work for you. You can check around the internet and find a few.

  2. I no you sed ur not looking for a product but i had that same problem and about a week ago i started using Stridex ( by Blistex brand) It comes in a puprle jar thing and its got a gel in the cap and the bottom part has a bunch of pads in them.  You clean your face with the pads and then you wait like a minute so that your face drys (dont dry with a cloth) and then take the gel and apply it to ur face. It works wonders. i didnt want to start school with acne either. Its almost gone completly and i start school 2mro! you can get it at Walgreens Jewel Walmart or anyother place. Its only 6 dollers and works wonders.

  5. Vodka.  Simple as heck.

    Don't drink it, though.

Wash your face as you normally would.  Apply the vodka to a dry cosmetic pad.  From there, wash your face with it as you would any other astringent.  It works pretty well for most people and won't dry out your skin as badly as some.  It should go away relatively quickly with twice daily cleaning.  If it doesn't you may need to see your family doctor, who can then suggest a dermatologist.

Acne can also be exacerbated by using soaps and shampoos that your body reacts badly to.

Having a look at your diet wouldn't hurt either.  Excessive intake of oily and fatty foods can definitely have an impact on your situation.

A combination of cleaning techniques, changes in diet and a little detective work can go miles to help even the stubbornest acne to get under control.
