What's a nice, classy place to get drinks in Austin?

We're going to a nice function tonight that will probably be over around 10:30 or 11:00. We're going to be nicely dressed. I'd like to go somewhere afterwards for drinks, but I'd rather it not be the typical 6th street type bar, which are the only kinds I'm familiar with. Anybody have any suggestions?

Chueys on either north lamar or burnet road.. is great... good food and great mixed drinks...I am in Florida now but was raised in Austin Texas...There is also a new one on William Cannon road ..You will see the william cannon exit off of interstate 35

Merkaba Lounge and Grill, it's perfect -Swanky and cool, it's off 35, close/next to the Ice Chapparal, North side, on the West side of the Freeway.

I have not been there, but have heard good things about The Brown Bar on 8th and ??? (it's 2 or 3 blocks west of Congress).  You could also try the new place called Qui (sp?) on 4th between Rain & Oil Can Harry's, across from Fado.  It's a bottle bar, so you probably won't find a lot of people who 'bar hop'.

I love going to the Stephen F. Austin on top of the Intercontinental.  It's really beautiful and the view is incredible.
