What's a normal starting salary for a insurance agent who does'nt receive commission??

  1. an insurance agent has special skills so he must be receiving more than the minimum wage, however there are states/country where insurance agents are commission based only.


  2. There is no normal starting salary. You will need to search for jobs in your area and find out what they are paying. You should start with the big companies like Allstate and State Farm they will have regional offices that assist their agents in finding support staff. You can also check the interenet based job boards like monster.com

  3. You don't get hired in as an agent, unless you're working for a direct writer company, or you're working for your dad.  Personal lines with no experience, you're lucky to make $20K a year.  Unless you're working for dad.
