What's a "dry sense of humor" ?

My friends dad says he likes me because I have a dry sense of humor.

You're serious you don't joke around! You don't pull pranks on anybody, you're just down to earh, have you ever ask him what he meant? I'm sure he'd tell you.Its not bad,but it will make your day better with alittle laughter! Have you ever heard the saying: Laughter is the best medicine? Which means it takes more muscles in your face to frown, than it takes to smile.Giggling, smiling, laughter, makes your day fun, and it goes by so quickly, try it and you'll see! Its good to be serious, but is also important and good  to laugh. God  loves you anyway that you are!

A person with a "dry sense of humor" usually isn't desperate for a laugh. The jokes aren't blatant and obnoxious like those of Jim Carrey or Robin Williams. They deliver their lines straight-faced serious and their jokes are often sarcastic/ironic. It's "clever" humor. The comedian Steven Wright has a dry sense of humor. If you don't know him, another example is Dr. House on "House M.D." He has a pretty dry sense of humor. Anyways, having a dry sense of humor isn't a bad thing. I think it's the best type of humor. It shows off a person's intelligence without being arrogant.

DO NOT LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE WHO SAID YOU HAVE NO SENSE OF HUMOR. A dry sense of humor means you are funny, and being comedic comes naturally to you! I know this because my mom uses this term almost everyday!!!!! So he means you are, funny and you make him laugh easily! Also that the way you said it, sounds like its not meant to be funny but it is.

you are really funny, but you are really serious when you crack jokes. you'd be the only one not laughing at your jokes while everyone else was cracking up. that's the best kind of humor to have, it's a lot better then when people are the only one's laughing at themselves :]
