  1. You are talking about a "Glamour" spell.

It works by creating the illusion that the spell worker looks different than usual to the people around them.

I've done them before and they work!

  2. A "glam" spell, is Glamour, it's an illusion that changes how a (usually) a person looks to others.

  3. LapaLuna has the right answer - a glamour spell only gives the illision to others that the person who cast the spell looks different, and this is quite temporary.  So for example, you have blue eyes, but you do a glamour spell for green eyes.  If worked properly, others who see you will see you for a time with green eyes (but most likely if you were to look into a mirror, you would still see your blue eyes.)

IMHO, a waste of one's energy that serves no needed purpose.  What with all the reasonably priced beauty supplies available at your local pharmacy, why bother with glamour spells?  That energy could be utilized on a healing spell or a protection spell for someone who really needs it, much more than the spell-caster needs to appear to have changed their eye color.
