  1. Any of the Tas chain (or EV which is part of the same group).  They are Lebanese, Greek, Turkish specialists - fantastic value for not only food but wine as well.  EV is great - near to Southwark tube in three arches under the railway - one is a deli, one a bar and the middle one the restaurant.  Only down side is guitarist that plays through dinner but you can't have everything!

  2. i always find wagamamas informal and good fun and ridiculously cheap!

  3. I would recommend a few:

Theres Destino which serves South American cuisine. Very Latin  inspired deco and the food is scumptous. They make really good steak and if you thinking of somewhere with a bit of ambience.. Its off Regent Street and you can walk there from Picadilly Circus.

Another suggestion would be the countless number of Japanese restaurants along the Chinatown distict which you will find behind Leicester Square. If you're out with someone who hasn't seen London before, perhaps it'll be best to walk around that area to see what whets your tastebud.

Theres Wardour Street where you'll see HK Diner which is quite popular. They have a pretty good selection of Chinese dishes which tastes like home. If you do go there, order some Soya Bean Milk.

Finally theres MR KONG's. (Walk down the alley between Ruby Blue and Haagen DAzs at Leicester Square) A friend brought me there last year and their chinese food is excellent and their service darn hospitable. I suggest their Ma Po To Fu, Won Ton Soup and Lemon Chicken.

    ENJOY!!!
