I am going to start driving lessons in 2 months and I want to start saving up for a car but I have no idea how much I would be looking to spend and how much insurance would cost.

Thanks in advance =) x

  2. Probably no more than $4500. Insurance depends what state you live in. Look for safety features and low milage.

  3. Buy the cheapest road wordy car you can buy  some thing for around £200 up about £600 its only for learning  and make sure it has a small engine

  4. are you in the US or UK?

    US you'll need about $3K to $4,000

plus minimum of $200 a month for insurance and gas.

If you have taken drivers ed, get good grades, are added to your parents existing coverage and take a higher deductible you can save some money.

  5. Insurance for you will be the biggest expense even if you only pay a couple of hundred pounds for your first car, regardless of engine size you will be looking to pay about £1000, for insurance,

Happy hunting and good luck with the test!

  6. The faster the car goes the more expensive the insurance will be i.e.

Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 = Cheaper the insurance will be

Volkswagen Golf GTI 2.0 = Insurance will be more expensive.

    Hope it helps.

  7. In the uk, road tax and insurance is at a high , for a fist time driver extremely high. I would go with a vahxhall corsa, citroen saxo,or Peugeot 106 as these have relatively small engines e.g 1.0litre,and popular among first time drivers. i know it's not power full but you don't want 2 get caught speeding in your first few years. For example a peugeot 106 is in group 4 for insurance which is relatively cheap as the groups go from 1-21.Hope i helped.
