Question:

What's a safe way to close the gap under a stove so mice won't go through it?

We occasionally have mice in our manufactured home. We've wondered where they come from until we followed one to a large gap under our stove. The gap is 1/2 inch high and almost the entire width of the stove. What a safe way to close this gap from mice? I don't want to put paper or other flammable material down there. We don't have pets or small children. Thanks to all in advance.

  1. The gap must have a purpose there, ventilation maybe? so buy a couple of mouse traps, and  oh cheese is their favourite food. If you don't they will find another way and bring the family. Alternatively buy a couple of hungry young tom cats, garanteed to do the trick.

  2. Expandible foam should work.

  3. Steel wool,  buy at hardware store and stuff in hole.  Stuff is cheap and mice cannot gnaw through it.   This is how it was done in the 50s
