  1. A technocracy is a society run by people who think technology holds all the answers to society's ills and science will be able to answer all questions. No matter what the problem or question, technology will solve it or answer it.  As for how it would work, I really couldn't say.  Science and technology are all fine and dandy but societies are, at root, about people and how they interact while science and technoloy are in essence sterile.  My opinion is a technocracy really couldn't work for the long run.  A good example (even if entirely fictional) is the movie "Logan's Run."  That would also be a good example of a technocracy.
