  1. Toners generally do 3 things and this depends on the brand.

They help remove any left over debris on your face.

    They help rebalance your pH.

They open and close your pores.

Toners are usually applied after you have cleaned your face, applied a mask or a scrub and before your moisturizer. Sometimes, depending on the brand, it is applied after the moisturizer.

I prefer to use Pangea Organics. They offer an entire facial care regimen for specific skin types. They have a satisfaction guarantee and they also have a list of stores on their website to you can find a retailer near you. In Pangea's case the Toner is applied after all your cleaning and scrubbing is done and before the moisturizer.

  2. a toner refreshes your skin and preps it for moisturizer

if you want an alcohol free toner try kiehls and if not try kose

put toner on right after you wash and dry your face and then follow with moisturizer

  3. To clear the skin of blemishes.

  4. 1. My friend, "toner" is a misnomer. It's really more of an astringent. It does not "tone" anything. What it does do is remove any remaining makeup you may have on your face after cleansing, as well as any cleanser (first you cleanse, then you apply toner). It will temporarily tighten your pores.

Some do more harm than good. People say if it "tingles" it's working. Don't buy it. What that means is it's too harsh. Acetyl alcohol is fine, just look out for isopropyl alcohol.

I like to use it in the morning after splashing water on my face, as well as after cleansing at night.

    2. Neautrogena clean pore

    3. u put it on right after u wash ur face

  5. A toner closes your pores.  (Or tries to)  After you wash your face with a good facial cleaner (not body soap) , you can use a toner and then apply your moisturizer.

A good one?   Mary Kay makes a good one.  I like Oil of Olay or Loreal, also but there are a lot of good ones on the market. Almost every cosmetic line also has a facial routine.

  6. Toner causes your pores to shrink. You use it after you wash your face, before you apply moisturizer. There are many good toners. I like Burt's Bee Garden Tomato toner because it is low on alcohol.

  7. 1.It deep cleans pores and helps shrink and tighten them

2.A good toner is one without alcohol like: Balancing Act" from "abrione"

    3. Apply the toner after a good facial wash and follow by your favorite moisturizer with solar protection b-4 foundation

  8. 1. a toner is supposed to be used to dry up the oily parts of your skin.

    2. seabreeze

    3. it comes after you wash your face

  9. It cleanses your pores of dirt and oil and shrinks them.  You should use it after you wash your face and before you put your make up on.  Use witch hazel.  It smells kind of weird, but you can't tell when you put it on your face and it's all natural.

  10. A toner is a liquid that you apply to your skin with a cotton ball, usually after face wash and before moisturizer (then makeup would follow if it is morning).

It deep cleans pores and helps tighten and shrink them. I would suggest avoiding toners with alcohols as they tend to dry skin out. And if you have oily skin it will actually increase oil production (by temporarily drying out the skin and causing your sebum cells to go into overdrive - it will be oil slick city by noon).

Any brand (regardless of price) that has a 3 step method: cleanse, tone, moisturize, is a good choice. Usually the products work together for optimal results.

My product of choice is ProActiv (a bit on the spendy side but works for all skin types).
