What's a word for "did business with"?. As in we then went on to "do business with" the company?. So it would be we then went on to "...." the company.

  3. Why can't you say it the way your first said it, that you went on to "do business with" the company?  Even the thesaurus doesn't have a word to use instead of that phrase.

    Otherwise, how about, "work with" or "share in a joint venture with the company" or, "work hand and hand with the company" or, "participate in doing business with the company" or "we then went on to being a client of the company" or, "we then went on to having that company as a client".   Hard to give thoughts when it's not really clear what it's all about.
