  1. I hope so, I know it's inconvenient but at least they are trying to do something. I wonder what would happen if the whole country decided to boycott BP petrol stations one day and then Esso the next, the amount they would lose in 24 hours might make them stop and think.

  2. Hope so   ..government must cut 20p a litre off tax  Or they are out on their  ear at election time .. No way can Labour survive,  Brown is a disaster,

  3. No understand....

    I love you

    lou

  4. I think that they will have to!  The ever increasing fuel prices will send hundreds of the smaller firms to the wall. It always amazes me how so many intelligent peole seem not to realise that everything they buy gets to the shop by Lorry.

But why do people like Kate talk about boycotting Esso or Shell etc. The other week one of the national newspapers published the breakdown of your fuel cost.  Their figures were based upon £1.12 for a litre of unleaded. From this £1.12 the Oil companies get 39.4 pence which covers their costs in getting the crude, refining it, delivering it and their profit.  4.3 pence goes to the Garage owner covering his operating costs and profit.  68.3 pence goes to the Government in Fuel duty and VAT.  Seems to me very easy to see just who is really s******g us!

  5. Something needs to be done.

  6. hope so, the government seem quite happy to destroy businesses and people on low wages by raising fuel prices and taxes, lets have a go at destroying them first.

  7. I hope so too, we really need a cut in duty on fuel. Americans are complaining about their prices where as ours are miles higher than theirs, its just not fair.  I say to any hauliers out there that the have my full support and and keep on campaigning they are the ones with the power to stall the country again.  Please listen Mr Brown before you let the country crumple under its crippling tax burden.

  8. lets hope so ,whats needed is for every working person to take a set day of work (nationally) each month until the Gov has to do something about bringing down the fuel and food taxes.we could all tell our employers that we could not afford the price of the fuel to get to work.this would mean the whole country will come to a standstill, no tv ,radio etc, after a couple of months the changes we need will be delivered
