What's an Agnostic Deist ?

there is no evidence that God exists , why do they believe in it ?what's their argument about God ?

  1. I'm guessing that's an agnostics that very possible willing to give faith in God a try. Other than that the two words are a contridiction.


  2. agnostic:  a person who holds that the existence of the ultimate cause, as God, and the essential nature of things are unknown and unknowable, or that human knowledge is limited to experience.  

    deism:  The belief, based solely on reason, in a God who created the universe and then abandoned it, assuming no control over life, exerting no influence on natural phenomena, and giving no supernatural revelation.

    agnosticism deals in knowledge, deism deals in belief.  they are not mutually exclusive.  there is no argument for proof, just reasoning, and personal opinion.

    and as to why being a deist, or a pandeist in my case, it's just how i think about the concept of god, and what i think a god would be.  no claiming truth or yelling that i am right over here, just opinion and speculation on my part.
