What's an average amount of mileage (or kms) to put on a vehicle in a year?

It really depends.  If you share a vehicle with a spouse then it will be more.  If you each have your own it will be less.  Many insurance companies give you a discount if you drive less than 7,500 miles per year, so that is considered to be "low".

It used to be 15,000 but for the newer vehicles they are saying the average now is 18,000.
