Question:

What's an easy chord to switch from F to?

Most of the songs I write on guitar I use the same chords but different alternations and strumming patterns. But I want to switch it up so I can practice harder chords like the F chord. What's an easy way to practice F (i know just play the chord and get used to the feeling of it) but what's an easy switch from F to whatever chord?

  1. You can slide the F chord up 2 frets and it's a G.  Two more and it's an A.

Don't just sit there and play the chord!!!  That's a bad idea.  Learn a song that uses F, and force yourself to play it right.  Sultans of Swing has an F; lots of songs have an F.

  2. F to a C is the easiest

  3. Going to Am isn't so bad.
