What's an easy fish to keep in college? I have a small 2 gallon tank! Something hardy and easy.?

Get a couple guppies.  Get 2 males... don't get females because you'll have a lot of babies because some females already come pregnant.  Males have really bright colors and they stay small.  I have 3 tanks in my bedroom, a 6 gallon which has 3 guppies that are about a month and a half old, a 16 gallon tank with about 7 adult guppies and babies in a breeder box, and a 40 gallon with 3 gouramis.   My favorite tank is the guppy tank because their colors are just so bright.

I have one in my dorm and its awesome, and chicks dig the shrimp for some reason.
