  1. chocolate brownies:

    1 cup each sugar and white flour

    3 eggs

    1tbsp vanilla

    1/2 cup chocolate buttons

    6 tbsp cocoa

    50g melted butter

    70ml milk

    1 heaper tsp backing powder

    beat eggs sugar vanilla, milk and butter. add dry ingredients. then chocolate. pour into a greased tin and bake at 180C for 40 min.

    this is absolutely moorish


  2. I like to make a bean salad and munch on it all week.

    cucumbers

    green onions

    red peppers

    black olives

    artichoke hearts

    Chop into bite size pieces, as much as you like

    I can of chickpeas, drained, rinsed

    feta cheese

    Mix all together

    Make a vinaigrette with equal parts EVOO, balsamic vinegar, a dash of minced garlic, basil, salt and pepper.  Toss all together and keep in fridge.  It's good and healthy to munch on when you get those hunger pains a couple of hours before meals.

    Ingredients:

    2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

    1 teaspoon baking soda

    1 teaspoon salt

    1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened

    3/4 cup granulated sugar

    3/4 cup packed brown sugar

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    2 large eggs

    2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels

    1 cup chopped nuts

    Directions:

    PREHEAT oven to 375° F.

    COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

    BAKE for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

    PAN COOKIE VARIATION: Grease 15 x 10-inch jelly-roll pan. Prepare dough as above. Spread into prepared pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan on wire rack. Makes 4 dozen bars.

    SLICE AND BAKE COOKIE VARIATION:

    PREPARE dough as above. Divide in half; wrap in waxed paper. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm. Shape each half into 15-inch log; wrap in waxed paper. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.* Preheat oven to 375° F. Cut into 1/2-inch-thick slices; place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely. Makes about 5 dozen cookies.

    * May be stored in refrigerator for up to 1 week or in freezer for up to 8 weeks.

    FOR HIGH ALTITUDE BAKING (5,200 feet): Increase flour to 2 1/2 cups. Add 2 teaspoons water with flour and reduce both granulated sugar and brown sugar to 2/3 cup each. Bake drop cookies for 8 to 10 minutes and pan cookie for 17 to 19 minutes.


  4. just a really simple Pasta bake, pasta , vegetables and a packet cheese sauce on top and u can chuck anything in it like salami .

  5. shop bought whole bbq chicken, lettuce mix, good quality mayo and lemons. break off bits of the chicken and mix all together.

    another one is brown lamb cutlets, add garlic + onion +your fave chopped veges (celery, carrots, cabbage etc), add canned tomato soup, worchestire sauce, salt and pepper, corriander and chilli to taste. yum. use a whole chilli chopped up and add at the start for mild spice or towards the end for a real kick

  8. i made the easiest dinner ever last night & it's one of my faves - tuna casserole. this will feed at least 4 people. cheap, easy, & delicious!

    cook 8 oz pasta (i like shells, bowties, or rotini) according to package directions.

    in a bowl, mix 1 can tuna, 1 can cream of mushroom soup, & about 1 cup shredded cheese.

    add cooked noodles & stir together.

    put into casserole dish, top with a little more cheese if desired, sprinkle on some seasoned breadcrumbs (or crushed ritz crackers or even potato chips), & bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes.

    i like to serve this with peas. it's really good!
