What's an ideal temperature for baking bread?

  1. the standard temperature is 375 degrees, I have about 25 books about baking all sorts of bread and I don't remember any of them asking for a different temperature than the one stated and the only one I remember with different temperature is pizza pie,  it usually goes from 400 to 450 degrees (all of these of course using a consumer regular stove/oven)

  6. dry heat isn,t a temperature..but yes baking is a dry heat.i would hate to see what happens to bread if you boil it!!depends on the type of bread,some breads are better at high heat like pizzas,some lower temps like croissants,regular breads like your average white,may be between 350-400..really depends on the recipe and the type of bread,even your altitude above sea level can be a factor..
