  1. An international question at myverdict.net, suggests that fundamental human rights should not be a wish-list for happiness but should start at the lowest level, aimed at the most despicable of a society. Further rights, above and beyond the fundamental, along with responsibilities should then be granted to the law-abiding citizens of said society.

  2. well USA human rights, only a select few have them anymore, and its not fair at all!!!!

  3. Why don't you start by asking what they think it means, and go from there? Get a formal definition first of course. There many examples in Africa, the middle east and in the US. Just  do some research, pick one and run with it.

  4. Well, a good one would be that the UN provides food to third world countries; however, some countries let the food sit in fields, rotting,  because eating it would violate their religion.  Should a country allow its people to starve or should the UN send food that is "prepared" in accordance with their faith?  I am not sure if this is a human rights issue, but it is something worth discussing.

  5. The Paradox of Human Supremacist Attitudes which destroy Human Rights.Human Racism has human race as epitome of existance contributes to contempt for other life forms damage to Ecosystem, Wars,  Human Misery. Once racism understood as such racism considered unacceptable cause of Human Rights All Rights advanced.

  6. Has the push for human rights and the explosion of human rights tribunals made a once good idea nothing more than an enforcement arm of the politically correct?

  7. Is there such a thing as a core, universal set of "human rights", that are shared among all cultures on Earth?

  8. Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba, for terrorism suspects  (several candidates have spoken about whether they would close it or keep it open, the joint chief of the army (top military official) has said it should be closed..)

    or

    CIA special rendition prisons

    or (for outside the US)

Chinese prisons, torture, and abuse of dissidents getting attention now that they're hosting the Olympics

    or

Burma protests and crackdown on monks back in 2007

  9. The term itself is a coined phrase born out of politics. I say to define it is next to impossible. It means different things to different people. So best to just write what it means to you.
