  1. You can connect to the projector ANY video source:

    - Output from cable/satellite set-top box

    - PC/laptop

    - DVD player

Think of it a s BIG monitor

  2. Depends on what inputs that DLP Projector has.

VGA - For the computer like your computer monitor.  Might be disguised as a Red, Green, Blue input with Horizontal and Vertical Sync with a VGA end on cable that connects to it.

Composite Video - Yellow RCA Input takes the video signal from the other devices that have Yellow RCA outputs such as cable and satellite boxes, DVD players, VCRs, and camcorders.

Component Video - Red, Green and Blue RCA inputs with sync on the green input instead of the separate sync mentioned in the VGA description above - Good for HDTV sources such as HDTV receivers, cable boxes, satellite boxes and HD or Blue Ray DVD players.

HDMI - Digital connection from the same sources as the ones listed in Component Video (this connection includes audio if the projector has speakers).

Stereo Audio - White and Red RCA connectors for audio if the projector has speakers - use paired with connectors other than HDMI for audio connection.
