  1. Well it being in Chicago you have to go with the chicago style hot dog with all the fix'ins (onions, peppers, cheese, etc.) go get it now and get it done!!

  2. my recipe for the weekend is to make sure i go out thursday evening and get enough sandwiches, wraps, pizzas, burgers, and/or burritos (and brownies/ice cream) so that i don't have to leave the house from friday morning to sunday night (on normal race weekends), nor do i have to be away from the tv any longer than it takes me to run to the microwave and back...

    ;-)

and i leave out the alcohol as i like to remember the races (and remember to go to work) come monday morning...

    ;-)

  3. Frosty cold-beer, pizza with every kind of meat you can think of, and UNNATURALLY HOT hot-wings. As for the beer, I move to an afternoon shift during the season, to avoid those Monday morning problems.

  4. What race are you talking about?  The baseball pennant race?

  5. Drink: Bud of course. Food: Chili cheese nachos. Take some tortilla chips and arrange in a single layer on a plate. Put a bit of chili (No beans works best) on each chip and top with grated cheddar cheese. Microwave approx. 45 seconds or until cheese is melted. Killer gut bomb. Chili cheese dip. Put 1 lb. of Velveeta cheese in a bowl. Add 1 12 oz can of chili.(No beans works best) Microwave for 60 seconds or until cheese is melted and mix ingredients. Great dip for tortilla chips, pretzels, crackers, anything you like. This dip does get stiff quickly so you may need to put it over a warmer or nuke on half power every 5-10 minutes or so. Shrimp sauteed in garlic butter is excellent when dipped.

  6. mix different alchoholic drinks with different energy drinks. umm hot dogs! lol that is a good drink mix though

  7. PEPSI, PEPSI, and PEPSI. I usually eat before the night races.

  8. Coors Light and aligator sausage.

  9. Well I usually drink Budweiser during the races, but this time I think I'll drink my new rum punch recipe I made up a few weeks ago. I named it Rastafarian Punch and here's how you make it:

    2 really big glasses

    Sprite

    Sweet and Sour mix

    Mango juice

    Grenadine

    Malibu rum

Put about 4-5 ice cubes in glass

Fill glass about 1/4 full with Sprite

Pour 1 or 2 pours of Sweet and Sour mix

Pour 2 or 3 pours of Mango juice

Fill rest of glass with Malibu rum

Pour entire thing into another glass of equal or same size & pour back into original glass

Pour 1 tiny pour of Grenadine. Don't mix it in, it's supposed to be at the bottom!

Now put on your bathing suit, put your TV in view from your pool, and enjoy the race!

  10. Always something grilled. There will be three couples and everyone brings a special something.  It's pretty casual for during the race year but we grill burgers, chicken , steaks etc...today we are having steaks and chicken kabobs.  Kabobs for us girls because the guys just look at each other and roll their eyes if we mention it.  They will have the steak...delmonico's...

Grilled corn on the cob (with regular or chipotle butter), salad,  chips, beer, bud and coronas are in the fridge now I don't know what will be brought later.   I made a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake and a plain one.  Thats it.

In the winter time....for the Daytona 500 thats the big one for me and having parties so I make chili and I also drag out the homemade smoker for some brisket and I am told it can be smelled across town.  lol

Now the drink...beers of course...but it's hot here and one of my friends found a drink recipe that she loved and is bringing the stuff to make it for us I don't know if the guys will like it but it sounds good to me. Sounds like it will taste like those orange cremesicles.

    Its 3/4 oz. apricot brandy

    2 tsp. Cointreau

    1/2 oz. Orange Juice

    1 scoop Ice Cream, vanilla

    1 slice Oranges

    Shake it all up.

    mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

  11. SMOKIN  hot off the grill TEXAS style beef steak so tender it just melts in tour mouth.  Nothin like a SMOKIN saturday night race.

  12. Brats soaked in Bud Light on the grille, Linguine salad with green, yellow & red peppers, minced garlic, sweet onion, Italian tomatoes, cucumbers if you like, green & black olives sliced, Parmesan & Romano cheese, shredded 4 cheese blend, fresh ground black pepper, a little sea salt, Marzetti's Italian dressing or you can use Sweet n Sour also. Corn on the cob grilled, soaked overnight in salt water, grilled in the husk. Assorted chips n dips. Iced decaf green tea with lemon for me, Bud Light, ice, V8 Juice n salt or just the beer for others.Desert  - Texas sheet cake.

Enjoy the race everyone and good luck to your drivers.  =o`)

  13. For the Chicago race, we are going to do ribs on the grill for most of the people coming over and my Chipotle potatoe skins, I will do some fish on the grill and have a couple fish tacos  for me this time as well, and since its so hot here we will probably have some Corona Lights and Margaritas, now if we can only get the one guy to bring his ice cream machine over, actually 8 of our normal race viewing people are in Chicago at the race, and they are not enjoying the humidity and rain thats for sure, but they are having a super time.. Actually I did mix Amp Overdrive & Vodka, and we tried the Orange flavored Amp with Tequila a couple weeks ago for those who can drink these kinda drinks well they all survived..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms

  14. BBQ burgers, raceday tradition.
