What's been your scariest experience on a roller coaster?

At Cedar Point, on the Maverick, we got stuck in the dark tunnel for 20 minutes becasue there was a customer error in the following train. Knowing how fast we drove into the tunnel was scary..you couldn't see or hear anything, and you didn't know if the second train would slam into you. It all turned out okay, despite claustrophobia, heat, and the constant annoying calm chatter from the ride operator.

How bout you?

  1. Mine would have to be when i was on X no way out in Thorpe park about 2 years ago, because they didn't bother checking the lap bars and me and my friend who i was sat next to forgot to pull it down and we went the whole ride with no restraints lool was pretty scary cus it's a backwards rollercoaster in the dark. It's much better now though cause they've started to check them since a boy died from falling out lool. Thorpe park has always been bad on safety.

  2. Wow.. I love cedar point!

Well for me it was on a ride at the county fair. It is called the ring of fire. It holds you down for 30 seconds on a loop. The scary part is you have one seatbelt around you but only below your stomach. And you are in a cart but your head is touching it and your about to slip out. It was scary and Im never going on it again!

  3. My best friend and I went to Islands of Adventure in FL. on the WRONG weekend. Here's why:

The Incredible Hulk- got stuck before the launch.

Dueling Dragons- Got stuck on EACH of them on the lift hill.

The Mummy- Stuck befor the final drop for about 20 minutes

Jurassic Park- Stuck before the T--Rex attack

Wow. What a weekend that was... ;]

  4. Oooooooooooh man. I forgot the name of the ride, but we got stuck on a loop upside down for 10 minutes, and the seatbelts were really loose so we were sort of dangling.

  5. About 12 years ago at Kings Island, I was on the Racer (when one side went backwards and before seatbelts were required on their rides). We were at the top of the hill on the backwards side when I heard a loud click, and I looked down to see that my lap bar had come completely loose. I had to hold on for dear life throughout the whole ride.

  6. darkness space moutain

  7. Nothing actually went wrong, but I was riding The Borg at Carowinds, N.C. against my will (the other two people I was with weren't allowed to leave me alone anywhere and they wanted to ride it), and I was slipping out the whole time. There wasn't much to grab onto...at all.
