  1. It's really a personal preference.  I've worked at  independent agencies my entire career, except for 18 hellish months at a copany.  I will NEVER go back.


  2. After working and acquiring sufficient experiences in your related field of expertise, it is better to be independent and work for yourself. You can be a employer.
