a day care 40 kids -- or a beauty salon renting out space.--How much should I charge for renting out space?

I suggest doing something that you're passionate about.  There is a lot of paperwork and legal aspects to deal with when it comes to taking care of kids.  

How much you charge for renting out space should depend greatly on how much you have to pay for the lease, the number of chairs (or stylist working there) and how much traffic you expect the salon to get based on the target market in the area.

But what ever you chose, it will take a lot of time and effort, so be sure you love what you're doing.
