well i am orange and it costs 20 pence on every network to text to the USA not sure how much calls cost but it is definitely 20 pence from every network to text.

vodafone is good because if you spend a certain amount of money in a week then you get free texts for the whole of the weekend.

orange is ok but you have to put quite a lot of money on your phone to get credit back.

i would change to vodafone if i was you
