Hi, I get benefits to go to school right now because my father was in the military. However, that goes away when I turn 23. I am now 21 and I have two years left. I am unemployed just going to focus on school. My problem is when I transfer over to a 4 year its going to be really expensive. I want to get a Bachelor's in Accounting. Which will take 4 more years. I don't want to work and go to school because I have a hard time staying on track. What would be the best course to major in that I can get an okay paying job with an AA degree? Please advice.

  1. If I was a young lady I would look into something in the medical or dental career field. A dental hygentist makes about 60,000 a year with an associates degree. Other options radiologist technician, medical assistant, orthodontist assistant. There is also a major shortage for these workers. Accounting will probably put you to sleep after 1 year.

  2. There are associate degrees in accounting. I know my community college has it in accounting. But honestly, you can save up money after community college to finish up at a four year. Many people do that. Or they take out financial aid. If you want to go farther and earn more money, then a 4 year degree in accounting will take you further.

Let me give you the government financial aid site.
