Looking for a job outside of Dallas, TX (like Irving). Since I don't live there, how can I find a list of local companies whose job banks I can begin searching? Thanks!

  1. www.workintexas.com

Click on "Register As Job Seeker"

Enter all your personal info, education level, desired job, desired pay and what part of the city/state you want to work in.

List all training,certification,diplomas,degrees,... experience. Also when listing all past jobs, include a small sentence or two to tell what your duties were at that job so the computer can use key words to match you with potential employers.

Each employer you match with will indicate how they want you to contact them,i.e.,fax,in person,phone,email,etc..

  2. I moved to the Dallas area two years ago with no job lined up. I went through a staffing agency until I found a permanent position on my own. Try Dallas Employment Service. They were amazing and were always willing to work with me. They also have a department that deals with permanent job seekers. Or if you are not in the market for an office job, Craigslist is also really great. There are all sorts of jobs on there from retail to health care. Best of luck and welcome to the area.

  3. Careerbuilder

    Yahoo Jobs

Do a google search of companies inside the city of Irving.

  4. Go to workintexas.com and create a profile with them
