  1. Ipod definitely. Well you can scroll through your songs faster. Better sound quality.

  2. I would say an mp3 player is better. I have never had an ipod but from what I've heard, my mp3 player was a better investment than an ipod.

My mp3 player is good, its an Iriver T10 2GB, I got it 18 months ago now. I can view pictures, listen to music in other formats than .mp3, listen to FM radio and also the voice and radio record feature.

My brother just recently bought a samsung mp3 player and mine, even though i got it 18 months ago, and was $120 more expensive at the time was much better.

These days almost any cheap mp3 player has a Fm radio, voice recorder, picture viewer and can watch movies as long as they have enough space to hold them.

Another reason why an mp3 player is better is because if you go camping or are away from your house when the battery dies (I'm not saying all, but some) have alkaline batteries so they're just a matter of opening it up, changing the battery and off you go. If you don't like the idea of always buying new batteries, get rechargeable ones. My mp3 player lasts 50 hours off a battery, beat that..

  3. Well, an iPod is a mp3 player for one thing.  And it really depends on personal taste.  I mean, if you want an iPod for the sake of having something with name recognition or because you like Apple products, get that.  I have one, have had it for nearly three years and am happy with it.  With mp3 players produced by other companies, I'd say the top advantage is price, since you should be able to find other mp3 players with the same storage as certain iPod models, but for cheaper.  And features like being able to play video are available on certain iPod models, but also certain mp3 players by other companies have features like that too, so that also goes with personal taste and finding a player that has the features you want.

EDIT: The person who said you have to use iTunes to put music on an iPod is wrong.  I use the music player Winamp to put music on my iPod.  I hardly ever open iTunes even though I have the program on my computer, nor do I buy music from there.

  4. mp3, i have an ipod and it's no big deal. they are just wastes of money

  5. i'd have to say iPod. thats what i have. the only thing i really hate is that apple comes out with someting new every 5 seconds. and itunes sucks, but you can always use MP3 rocket with an ipod! =)

  6. an ipod is way better than an mp3. ipods can hold a lot more songs. some ipods can hold music videos, shows, and movies.

  7. The iPod is a mp4 except the iPod shuffle they are easy to use.

  8. Ipod

because it organizes your songs by diff. catagories

  9. i perfer a MP3 the difference between a mp3 and a ipod is that to put stuff in a ipod you HAVE to USE Itunes to sync it and with a MP3 you just open it in my computer and drag stuff in it

Also certain kinds of MP3s have more features than a Ipod like my Creative Zen has a Fm tuner, Photo viewing, Voice recording, and you can watch videos
