  1. photobucket is just a website for pictures about nothing... and you can't really view another persons album... in flickr it's more artistic and beautiful.. but on both you can either make it public or private... in photobucket i know that it's mostly for uploading it only to get the link where you can put it on another site

  2. I use Flickr - it's great and it's cheap, but some of the functionality is a bit confusing, they have a long way to go to make it user friendly.

    If you just want backups, then look at online storage like BT Digital Vault that will allow you to backup more than just photos.  Or Acronis True Image and a big memory stick / external hard disk.  But these will be more expensive than Flickr.

    Also work checking if your internet account has upload limits - if you're uploading lots of photos you could soon hit limits.

  3. I like photobucket (:

  4. I use both, and am quite happy with either,

    I've never had problems.

    Photobucket has a private view as well as Flickr

    Photobucket,I find easier to post pic's on sites one at a time.

  5. I use tinypic.com, and you can set your pictures private in that site. :}

  6. I like Flickr better.

  7. I use both and each has it's benefits, on balance I find flickr the easier, especially for privacy, I also find it quicker to obtain a URL to add to Q/As

    You can set them for your eyes only, for public consumption, or as I have done very recently, created a set of my wedding photographs so only my family and friends can see them, here's just one:

  8. I haven't tried Photobucket, but Flickr does let you hide photos and it's not expensive for the unlimited upgrade.

  9. I have a flickr account but I've never tried photobucket
