Pokemon has more opportunity to get involved. There are tournaments you can go to as well as schoalrships you can win. It is also more popular.

It's all about opinions.

Personally, I like Yu-Gi-Oh Cards, for the fact that lots of people play it, and if you live in an apartment or townhouse, it'll be easy to find people that play it.

Pokemon on the other hand, isn't  played as often as Yu-Gi-Oh Cards, nor as much interesting. The Pokemon Trading Card Game (TGC) is MUCH harder to understand also.

Here's a way better version of the story.

Pokemon

Its ok but real hard to learn. I have the cards and about a month or two ago I learned how to finally play. You have to learn about Benched Pokemon, Energy Cards, and Prize Cards. Its real easy to play but you have to look at tutorial videos to learn.

Yugioh

Its real fun and greatly enjoyable. More consider this because its easier to understand and real easy to get all the concepts down. All there is to it is strategy and life points. Its more of a mental straregy game other than its TCG counterpart Pokemon. There are a variety of great cards to collect and more social action in it. Such as tournaments. You meet new people at these tournaments and sometimes form an alliance.  It also gives you a chance to lie to your parents and say that you are learning Math (I do) because it actually has some Multiplication, Addition, and of course Subtraction.

So of course I am going to go with Yugioh because of those basic reasons.
