  1. I often grappled with this question in regards to religion, back when I was unsure of my beliefs. I'd rather have the truth.

  2. The truth that draws a tear.  At least you retain the person's respect for being honest, and they don't feel like they were being made a fool of.

  3. It is very important to have a mix of both.

  4. A lie that draws a smile, precisely because the person knows you are lying.

  5. Depends on the situation and the person. I often tell small white lies to people if I don't want to cause a lot of drama, but if it is a close friend of mine, I would tell them the truth.

  6. For me, I would rather have the truth.  It depends on the person.

  7. truth that draws a tear.

Lieing is for the Federal Reserve and our current government.

  8. A lie just temporarily draws a smile but it will eventually cause disappointment or extreme hurt once the truth is uncovered.  Avoiding the truth is poorly managing the expectations of whom you're telling and yourself.  Truth is the best way always 100%.

  9. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.

You could tell a cancer patient he is fine and they can live out their next few days worry free, or you can tell a young adult he will get Alzheimer's and leave a lifetime of worry.

Truth might not always be the most important. We are here for only a short time. I would rather that time be more happy than not.

  10. yeah depends on the topic at hand
