  1. if by average you mean the average between city and highway that is very very low mpg. see you need to tell us what size car. cause thats not too bad for a largeish car in the city

  2. 18 is okay any thing above 23 is really good

  3. The range of mileage depends on the size and use of the vehicle. a loaded Semi can get 2-3 miles per gallon. A small economy car can exceed thirty five mpg and a small hybrid will exceed fifty.

If your car is a full sized SUV, then 18 highway would be classified as good mileage for this vehicle. If your vehicle is a small economy car like a Toyota Corolla or Yaris, then your mileage would be considered poor.

  4. it depends on the size and class of vehicle. such as in the large suv category it woud be about 19 MPG, small suvs should get about 24-27MPG, compact sedans or hatchbacks should get about 30- 40 MPG and minivans should get 22- 28 MPG and midsize sedans about 27- 37.

  5. Many people consider a car as having good gas mileage if it gets about 20 mpg or more in city, or about 28 or more on highway.
