Question:

What's diet cordial called in Norway and Italy and where can one find some??

Im travelling there and I cant drink water without it!!! Cordial is for those who don't know ,flavoured syrup like grenadine,raspberry mint etc.

  1. Hjertelig, hjertestyrkende middel (in Norwegian).

    So is it something you need for your heart? If it is, you should probably visit a pharmacy. Most of us speak English understandable, so if you just explain what you need to the people working in the pharmacy, I'm sure they will find it for you.


  2. I think you're asking for the word "saft", and diet would usually be called "light" or "lett" in Norway.

    One of the most common brands is Fun, so you could look for Fun light, but there are several other kinds as well.

    You might be able to find something a little closer to a syrup if you look for a French brand, sorry, can't remember the name, but it comes in sort of tin, about 15" high, and I think it's called something with syrup. Anyway, it should be found in the same place in the supermarkets as other kinds of saft.

    Haven't seen raspberry mint, but definitely grenadine :-)
