What's difference between TCP and IP?

  1. IP is a standard protocol that's allow different types of networks to communicate and move packets of data to and from host computers and gateways.

    TCP is also a protocol but it's part of a suite. It's a reliable connection-oriented source of transferring data.


  2. Not really a difference between the two.

    TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) is actually a part of IP (Internet Protcol). TCP is just a really solid protocol for internet based communications.

  3. here is my simple and practical answer Tcp is known for End to End transmission of delivery of data and Ip is know for logical addressing of physical addresses of our NIC CARDS or u can say Lan cards or wirless Lan cards
