  1. Lysozyme is an enzyme which is used in the medicine penicillin. It is a tiny molecule which breaks cell walls of bacteria by destroying the peptide bonds of carbon hydrates which support bacterial cell walls. This enzyme is naturally found in excess in egg whites.
