At the millionairre mansion arson attack. Two bodies have been found. Do you think it's murder by an outsider (s)? I do, though there are suggestions that the husband has killed his family then himself! just wondered what your thoughts were on it all!

  1. i didnt hear about it .

  2. Awful as it is ,there is nothing left for the creditors to fight over.

  3. I reckon he shot his wife and daughter, then shot the animals, went back to the house and barricaded all the windows and doors except one,,then went out and blocked the entrance after placing petrol and gas cylinders in strategic places, then set fire to everything within 20 min`s,went back indoors and blocked the door, set fire to the house and went to his study and shot himself,

  4. I think its just a matter of time until the third body is found.

As to what happened before the fire, I really don't know. Its very sad.

  5. I couldn't give a monkey's toss..........it just proves that money DOESN'T buy health or happiness

  6. Its awful. one of the bodies has been confirmed as his wife. the other is un known.

All the animals got shot, barricades were placed on the driveway to prevent emergency services gaining access. Powerlines and communications were cut.

I reckon the bloke has been kidnapped, been told to hand over his fortune or this will happen. Unfortunately he had no fortune left to give (reports say he was in dire financial strais) and he has had to watch all this playing out on TV.

How can we call ourselves a civilized country when this can happen?

  7. That's exactly what happened.

  8. Unfortunately, after the discovery of the bodies, I am more inclined to think the husband was behind it. I was hoping that it was all an elaborate plan by the husband to flee the country and start a new life with his family - drastic measures, but still favourable to them all being dead.

But now that bodies have been discovered, and it is highly likely that the third body will be discovered soon, I'm sure the husband was behind it. He was £2million in debt, his business had been liquidated and the house was in the hands of the liquidators, meaning that he could not sell the house to pay the debts off.

It is now well-known that he was a man who enjoyed the high life, and had continued to enjoy a lavish lifestyle despite his serious financial situation. It seems he was turning a blind eye to what was happening. He had been in debt for a long time - the people who moved into his previous address four years ago have said that they received countless letters, final demands and visits from debt collectors. It seems they were unable to trace where he had moved to, so it was clear he did not want to take any steps to repay the debts.

I believe it all got too much for him. I also think it's very likely that his wife did not know how bad it really was, and definitely sure the daughter didn't. She was certainly the innocent party in all this. As someone who is in quite a lot of debt myself (though my debt is unsecured, so no danger of losing my property), but I can understand the pressures people feel when they are being swallowed by debt. You have to make a decision - change your life and get it sorted (which is what I did and am now getting it sorted), or let it beat you and take a way out. In this case, he obviously did not want to lose the kind of lifestyle they were used to, probably felt like a failure, and saw suicide as his only way out. And in his deluded mind, no doubt decided that it was best to take his wife and daughter with him. Though I'm sure they would have liked to have been given a choice in the matter.

The theory of it being murder by an outsider is highly unlikely. Think about it - the police have an idea about things like that almost as soon as something has happened. There has never been talk of looking for anyone in connection with the incident. If they genuinely believed there was a crazed arsonist on the loose, I'm sure they would have mentioned it by now and had people out there looking. It was clear from the start they thought the husband was behind it - either a murder-suicide or an elaborate plan to flee the country and leave their debts behind. Obviously, the second theory is not the case. Also, the fact the doors and windows were barricaded from the inside indicates that whoever was behind it also died in the property. The fact all the animals were shot dead indicates that this was done by someone who was not thinking rationally. And the horse-box left at the gates shows that he was determined that they would not be saved. He wanted to make sure it was the end.

I might be completely wrong...after all, it's all circumstantial at the moment. But all evidence strongly points to a murder-suicide, and whatever the outcome of this situation, it's a terrible tragedy and should never have happened. It just goes to show how some people value their assets and lifestyle more than their life and family. And that's very sad.

  9. I guess we will never know for sure. That poor woman and her daughter. :-(

  10. It seems as though the husband did it-truly awful

  11. its awful, i don't know what to think.

Poor family, even the horses and pet dogs were killed....what is wrong with people.

  12. I suspect the worst of the worst. That is no one else involved
