  1. typically, it's one big room and the only thing with a door on it is the bathroom and possibly a closet!  I lived in one when I first moved out of my parents' home and thought I was royalty, LMAO!!

  2. They are very tiny, it's like living in a hotel room with a kitchen, you would be better off sharing with another and having a bit more space around you by renting a unit or a house.

  3. They don't have rooms... everything - bedroom, kitchen, lounge room, dining room, etc is all in a single room.

You won't find any doors except one for the bathroom (hopefully).

People prefer them for their price and who is just after a place to live without much demands. Typically, young people, especially those who just started Uni or joined the workforce would buy these apartments.

I personally would not want to buy one of these to live in. A home without rooms isn't something I'm used to.
