What's for dinner at your house?

i am fixing chicken stir fry and have no idea if i should fix a side item or not, so what would go with it? my husband says texas toast, but really, with stir fry?

we usualy have rice with stirfry. Brown rice has a lower glycemic index, but is not as traditional.

we are having rotisserie pork loin, with baked yams and cucumber salad.

just make sure you have some irce and you should be good to go! you could pick up a package or frozen egg rolls to go with it

It's wing night, so we'll be out enjoying some fabulous chicken wings and beers.

A good side dish....

Chow mien noodles, or rice noodles

Egg rolls or spring rolls

We had brats slow cooked in Newcastle with mushrooms, onions and green peppers and home made oven fries and garden salad

When i have stir fry i never really have a side dish. Its good by itself in a large bowl.

White Rice, some lean meat, and a side of vegetables.

Stir fry generally has all the meat and vegetables in it already so a good side is something like rice or bread (not sure what Texas Toast is).  However, if you are trying to cut back on carbohydrates, then you would avoid those two things for dinner anyway, LOL.

If I was cooking however and I thought a meal didn't need something and DH came in and told me what he wanted - I'd tell him, "Well, then you are perfectly capable of making if that's what you want, as I haven't accounted for it in my meal."  When my DH starts planning and preparing a meal, then he can tell me what to put into it.
