What's fun and safe for 11 year girl bored this summer?

Lots of kids left to run around without adult supervision. I won't let her. What's a kid to do for fun with friends these days? There aren't enough kids around to get a lot going on. Everyone is inside it seems. We're newish in our area and she doesn't have a close girlfriend yet.

Go to the Mall, Get a pool for the back yard, go see a movie, go to a theam park. There are a lot of things to do!

umm sleepover idk i'm 13 she'll probably like local camps like my high school holds camps so hers might too i would suggest checking that out it's a chance to meet new ppl also sports and classes

I completely understand what you're going through!  We're not new to our area but my 12-yo has told me more times than I care to count that she's "bored"!  There are a few girls around us but she gets kind of picky from time to time with who she wants to play with.  If there are any other girls around that she knows invite them over to your house.  I work from home and I've usually got kids here all day.  I like knowing where my kids are and who they're hanging out with!

Take her to the park, zoo and kind of tourist attraction in the area that what id do. Also if its a rainy day you can just take her to toysrus and get some fun crafts that you and her would enjoy doing together. Theres also a lot of other things that you could do such as getting some dolls or even a webkin.

Ever hear of librarys?  All cities have them.  Most cities also offer summer recreation programs.  If all else fails and she is still "bored" hand her a dust rag, the furniture polish and tell her to get cracking.

Buy her a PSP or a Wii. If you get her the Wii buy her the wii fit game is really fun and you use all your body to play wit it!
