What's fun to do if you're really crafty but within means? Any ideas?

TONS!!!  I would tie die sheets (or whatever), make pot holders (kits from stores like michaels), paint flower pots (big or small) and then plant a little veggie garden (thats two in one!)...lets see one time I caught 2 blue bellied lizards and made an entire habit for them (including leashes HA!), cover one of your walls entirely with paper and start drawing and when people come over have them add a little something something (or you can go as far as painting a door with chalkboard paint making it into a chalk board), bake/cook (when I had someone over we use to play "resturant" we would make menus  the whole 9 yards and then cook for either each other or our families), scrapbook (everyone loves pictures), learn how to sew (i first started with hand sewing pillows and made my way up to using a sewing machine and made purses and whatnot, and I even got as good as to make my own clothes following a pattern), paint/acrylic/watercolor (you can also watch those painting shows on saturday mornings for some inspiration, turn your room into a jungle theme or under the water theme (kind of like in the movie mermaids with Cher), lanyards (i have no idea how to spell that) or those other things that are simliar (forgot the name) but instead of plastic string its regular string, me and my friends use to get together and create dance routines to songs and then perform for our family and friends, or we would get American doll plays and act them out again for our family and friends, sidewalk chalk, make up your own board game, take pictures!!!! (ie one time 2 of my friends dressed up in guys clothes and I in S****y clothes and we took funny pictures of us like pimps and hoes) (or take it the other way and use photoshop to create amazing pictures), build a fort, write a script or start writing lyrics,  if you have a computer program make some business cards for yourself hand them out to family members and create a card making business, start a collection, make candles (again there are kits at craft stores), rearrange your furniture in your room.....

I have always liked needlecrafts....crocheting, sewing, needlepoint, but another thing it creating miniatures. It doesn't take much in supplies to do this and you can make some wonderful shadow boxes/scenes.  

Crafting birdfeeders/houses is another idea. You could probably get scrap supplies from different places.

Oh, and mosaics ) creating pictures/designs from tiles-beads-glass) can be fun also.

I love alot of crafty activities, but have found Scrapbooking very fulfilling, relaxing and worthwhile. Supplies are relatively inexpensive. You can begin with as little as a few pictures, some construction paper and scissors!

paint jeans or white tshirts with acrylic paints. (let dry 2 days-doesn't wash out)
