Well it's about to get cold, it was about 65 today downtown by Lake Shore Drive so you'd better figure something out soon!

I know Red Bull is doing some kind of event in September on North Ave beach, so maybe check that out? I saw the ad on the train.

To the guy below me-- Chicago actually borders Lake Michigan. And there's a little street named Lake Shore Drive that extends from the the south side to the north side that is over 20 miles. So yeah I think there may be a few beaches all over the south and north sides. Dumb azz. Why don't you mapquest it?

depends on which beach. North Ave  beach is the best, but I do love Oak St Beach as well. All the other ones are kinda lame, unless your like really far north (Rogers Park, Glencoe Beach)

If you are a swimmer, why not take a dip in Lake Michigan during Xmas Day or New Year's Day when the water is below freezing cold. There's some really crazy group of people that take a dip in the freezing Lake Michigan in Grant Park every year I think on Christmas or New Years day. They're wearing only their swimsuit and swimming trunks.

watch the sunset! BONFIRE! ummm... swim? idk. When  i went to chicago i just sat there and watched the sunset and the city lights.
