What's funny behind global warming and a solar car?

Question

I have to make a skit in front of a class and I want lines that are funny.

Problem is, I could only come up with serious ones. Can someone help me come up with funny lines?

the funny thing is that the environmentalists are now against solar power, the U.S. government has pulled out of such research cause of environmental lobbyists, lol

try a skit about having a solar car, but have environmentalist toss themselves upon the solar panels in protest, all while gas prices skyrocket, to me that would be funny... make a song to go with it and it would be hillarious

Frame your skit like the Mac/PC tv ads with a global warming proponent and a skeptic.  It should go something like this:

Proponent:  If we don't cut our fossil fuel use, global warming is going to kill us all!  I'm buying a solar powered car right now!

Skeptic:  You're saying my car causes global warming?  

Proponent:  Yep.

Skeptic:  How?

Proponent:  It burns fossil fuels, releasing the pollutant CO2 into the air.  CO2 is a greenhouse gas.

Skeptic:  It's also plant food.  You're claiming plant food is poisonous to the environment?  

Proponent:  Exactly.

Skeptic:  You're saving the environment from plant food?

Proponent:  You betcha!

Skeptic:  By driving a solar powered car?

Proponent:  No plant food there!

Skeptic:  Right...they're powered by the Sun.  You think solar power can compete with my gas engine?

Proponent:  Are you kidding?!!  More solar energy hits the Earth each day than oil will EVER provide!

Skeptic:  That's a lot of energy.

Proponent:  You bet your sweet potato it is!

Skeptic:  It's a good thing the Sun doesn't warm the planet...

Proponent:  Tell me about it!
