Question:

What's going on here?

Okay so my girlfriend and I are sexually active together without a condom. She is on Yaz birth control and for some reason after intercourse she has gotten two UTI's. But now after this past time, she really has to urinate, and she cannot hold it in whatsoever. What's going on here? I'm really worried about her seeing as though she just moved away to college and this could be a serious problem.

  1. oh dear, some one needs to practice better hygiene, or UTIs can be brought on by the strangest of things for example a poor diet, a weak immune system, and stress can oddly lead to a UTI. Some poor sods get them for the sake of it! The doctors would perscribe a simple pill that's taken twice a day and it'll clear up, oh and drinking plenty of cranberry juice (no matter how nasty it tastes) helps prevent it.  Good Luck

  2. sometimes if you don't pee right after s*x you can get a UTI she should go to the bathroom right after you guys are done.

  3. She should see a doctor. Maybe its a urinary tract infection?

  4. She should see a doctor and get a vaginal culture done.  It is possible she has a vaginal infection, like yeast or bacterial vaginosis, that is aggravated from having s*x.  Yeast and bacterial infections can affect the urethra and can mimic the some of the symptoms of a urinary tract infection.

Has she even been to a doctor to get treated for a UTI?  Either way, she should see her gynecologist and look for what is causing this and to make sure another infection isn't the actual problem.

    Good luck!

***Really, tell her to get a culture done.  Using antibiotics a lot can cause a persistent yeast infection and she could have one even if she doesn't show all the symptoms.  Yeast is well known to cause urinary problems.  I would use a condom for now too.  You could keep passing it back to her too if it's yeast related.

  5. umm y didnt u guyz use a condom??? she might hav a rllly bad infection now....next time...USE A CONDOM!!!

  6. UTIs are caused by e coli bacteria, and she's probably getting it from you, since a woman's UT is normally sterile.  You should wash yourself with soap before you have s*x with her as a preventive measure.

  7. Sounds like she could be suffering from chronic Urinary Tract Infections or from poor hygene on either of your parts.  I would suggest you both get tested for STD's and she should see her Gynocologist, and you should see a doctor.  And, use condoms.  Always.

  8. Directly after intercourse she should pee.  This helps a little bit with any bacteria that may have been released into her v****a.  She should also do kegal exercises which help the muscles in that area become more strong that way she can hold her urine.

  9. Few possibilities:

1). you have infection but you don't have symptoms

2). she got infection from gynecological (not clean!) instruments

3). she just had it before meting you

4). microbes became active because her immune system is damaged

  10. oh wow your stupid. she was about to get an o.

  11. yes a UTI is an urinary tract infection.

She needs to go to the bathroom after Each and Every time you have s*x. it cleans out the urithra from the juices s*x causes and will prevent the infections!

  12. Most UTI's are caused by uncleanliness.  I experienced this problem right after my husband and I got married.  I found that we would make love after a long day of work before we showered at night and noticed that once we began to shower first helped a lot

I'm not saying you are dirty, please understand that.  I'm sure you know your skin secretes oils and sweat throughout the day.  Those remnants are on all parts of your skin, even your private parts.

If she is having serious problems with it, mention to her about taking an over the counter medicine called AZO or Uristat.  Cranberry juice is also very good for your system in helping releive the symptoms of UTI's.

I will advise that these medicines turn your urine a bright, almost neon yellow.  If she starts these pills, do not be alarmed if this happens.  It is printed on the box that this is a possible side effect.

  13. omg hahaha

  14. I'm not an expert on this issue, but maybe you might want to try using a condom to see if that changes things?

It could just be the physical contact that is triggering the need to urinate.  I would take some time off s*x (easy since she is away) and see if it improves.  But I'd actually be more worried about staying with her as moving away to college is usually death to a relationship (no offense, but it's quite a charged atmosphere)

  15. Yeah she was gonna squirt ha ha Its funny but its the truth

  16. Did she ever get her UTI's taken care of? To try and prevent a UTI, she should urinate maybe a half hour after s*x, and sometime before as well. That will help get rid of some bacteria that might accumulate during s*x.

If she is still having problems, tell her to try and drink 2 glasses of cranberry juice a day, not cranberry juice cocktail, that has a lot of sugar, but actual cranberry juice, it will help flush everything out. If that does not help in about a week, she should see a doctor, he can prescribe antibiotics to help clear the infection.
