I'm supposed to be going to Thailand in five days time and I heard protesters are not letting people into the airports. Is the situation resolved? Should I cancel my trip?

  1. Only three airports were closed Phuket, Krabi, Had Yai.

Had Yai airport opened yesterday and all the protesters have left.

Phuket opened today and Krabi was to follow. Arrivals in Bangkok could not connect to these airports and so many flights had to be re-routed. If your flying to Phuket, check with your airline first, although many flights have landed already today. You can see more details of

the current flight situation on the airport's site below.

The political situation is still unresolved at the moment I'm writing this, however once your out of the airport you will find Thailand is just as beautiful as it always is. Hope you enjoy your holiday!!

  2. Which airport are you flying into??

  3. The protesters (pad) are not blocking the airport in Bangkok.  Yesterday the airports in Phuket opened again, but the protesters has said they may go back and block it and all other southern airports again if they feel the situation warrants it.  Train workers are also on strike so no train service, don't know how long that will last.  It's a day by day thing here.  My advise is to cancel if you can and wait for a better time.
